In March, 2003, VSL monitored a Flight-medic training course at Ft.Rucker, Alabama. Part of the practical training was conducted in a simulated environment, using a helicopter mock-up.

We monitored the exercise and documented actions and procedures with digital photographs and video sequences. We also recorded the tactical communication between the participating units and the communication between the helicopter crew and the flight-medics.

The medical actions were recorded using detailed protocols filled in by observing instructors. All data was inserted into the exercise mission history to support debriefing and evaluation.
