Daniela Exercise

The purpose of the Daniela exercise was to train multi-agency response to a conflict between two political parties during a political meeting and a protest against that meeting. The conflict escalates and a fire starts in the building that hosts the original meeting. The response to the incident starts as a police assignment, but after the fire the fire department have to put out the fire and rescue the victims from the fire. 75 casualties were extricated, prioritized, stabilized, and transported to the Linköping University Hospital.

Command staffs and responding units from the fire department, the police, and the medical authorities participated. The exercise took place in Linköping, December 11, 2002. The exercise started at 08:58 and ended 13:30. The after-action review was conducted between 15:00 and 16:30 the same day. 250 people participated in the after-action review.
