On November 20, 2008, the Swedish International Crisis Support Team participated in simulation exercise in Linköping, Sweden. In the scenario the team trained their capability to establish a command post in a foreign area of operations. They also exercised their ability to establish contacts with local authorities and to create an initial situational picture. This situational picture was reported back to Sweden.

Exercise commander was Jiri Trnka at the Computer Science department at Linköping University. The exercise was a part of the project Information management in large-scale crisis operations, funded by the Swedish Rescue Services Agency.

VSL participated in the planning and execution of the exercise. CITE Planner supported the exercise planning and CITE Observer was used by the observers to document the actions taken by the trained staff at the command post. CITE Communicator was used to record all phone calls made during the exercise and CITE Explorer was used for analysis and evaluation after the exercise.
