In this project, we developed a test bed for experiments with data integration in a net-centric environment. The purpose was to support the development of new command and control system for the response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.

The management of CBRN incidents requires integration of information from multiple sources. Integration must take place both horizontally across multiple agencies and vertically between organizational levels. The test bed helped bridging the gap between vision and reality by bringing together practitioners, designers, and developers in a creative environment to explore future concepts and services in CBRN decision support.
