EfficienSEA is an EU Baltic Sea Region 3-year project with participation of 17 partners from six countries in the region. In this project, VSL supports Chalmers University of Technology, which is one of the project partners.

The overall aim of the project is to enhance maritime safety and environmental state in the Baltic Sea region. The project will develop tools that can be applied to improve maritime safety through better information exchange and consistent practices throughout the region with regards to e-navigation, vessel traffic management, and risk management.

An advanced bridge simulator at Chalmers Lindholmen, Gothenburg, is central to the development effort. Using CITE, VSL supports data collection, analysis and visualization in studies of work processes and technology in this simulator. Read more about exercises carried out in the project.
